Ian Yeo is a seasoned Retail Planner with over a decade of experience in the retail industry, having spent much of his career with Pavilion Group. During this time, he has overseen a diverse portfolio of tenants and malls, spanning from suburban centers to luxury retail destinations. His involvement in the conceptualization of at least three major shopping malls, ranging from 250,000 to 1.8 million square feet, has solidified his reputation as a strategic thinker with a keen eye for space planning. Dato’ Joyce Yap is a well-respected and experienced shopping centre practitioner, having worked with some of Malaysia’s leading shopping malls and possesses an intimate knowledge of the retail market – local and overseas. Dato’ Joyce Yap was the Pioneer Member responsible for the formulation of the leasing and marketing strategies and execution to position Pavilion Kuala Lumpur as a Premier Shopping and Tourist Destination in the region.
Currently she is the CEO, Retail in Pavilion KL and is responsible and accountable for the performance of Pavilion REIT’s owned malls. She is also currently undertaking the retail planning for Pavilion Bukit Jalil Mall and Pavilion Damansara Heights. She has over 40 years’ experience, covering all aspects of property development and asset management and has an extensive network of retailers both local and international.
To date, she has marketed over RM 30 billion (USD 7 billion) worth of properties in Malaysia. Currently, she is also a registered Property Manager (No. PM 1245). Dato’ Joyce Yap also has extensive conference-related experience as a speaker/moderator in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Korea and Japan.
